Background: The agency specialises in positions for accounting and finance. CXC Global was already handling the payroll functions, as the agency did not have the staff to manage it internally.
However, there were additional challenges.
Timesheets were paper-based and time-consuming manual labour had to enter them into systems. Also manual was a spreadsheet used to maintain their contractor database.
Another problem was delays in getting contracts out.
Some contractors complicated things by wanting to be paid weekly, not fortnightly.
Solution: The agency was provided with CXC Global’s innovative web-based extranet portal, MyAgency. Their contractors were given access to an agency-branded portal, called MyCXC.
Through these sites, the timesheet process was automated: they could be completed and approved online. Contracts can now be generated online through a PDF facility. It was also possible to introduce a weekly pay cycle option, providing more choice for contractors. This saved the agency 7 staff hours per week.
Minimal training, provided by CXC Global, was required to use the system.
